Alberta Cattle Price Insurance Program - 2011 Premier's Silver Award of Excellence
The Cattle Price Insurance Program for fed cattle was awarded the 2011 Premier's Silver Award of Excellence in September 2011. Gibson Capital is proud to have been a part of the cross-industry team that developed this product. It was a pleasure to be part of the process and AFSC has done a fantastic job of delivering this product to Alberta cattle producers. Since the launch of the fed cattle program, additional price insurance products have been added for feeder cattle, calves and market hogs.

Ron is currently serving in his third year as Chairman of the Board of First Calgary Financial. First Calgary Financial is a member-owned financial institution serving Calgary and area with approximately 75,000 members and assets of $2.3 billion. Ron is proud to be associated with a dynamic, member-driven organization that is such a positive force in our community. This is Ron's sixth year on the board of directors. He has previously served as Board Secretary, Board Vice Chair and a member of all board committees.
